Headaches during pregnancy

Headaches are commonly experienced during pregnancy especially more during first 3months.

Nausea and vomiting are more during this period which prevents the pregnant mother from taking sufficient food and liquids resulting in dehydration and also causes low sugar levels in the body, causing headaches.

Hence these headaches are also called as Hypoglycaemic headaches.

Sometimes these headaches may be due to inadequate sleep, irregular eating habits, low blood pressure and also due to pregnancy worries.

Taking plenty of liquids like fruit juices

2.Eating foods rich in sugars.

3.Having small and frequent meal- once in 2hours.

4. Atleast 8hours of sleep.

5. Stress relieving measures like listening to good music, a small walk, meditation, talking to your partner or friends or family members.

If the headaches still persist, it is advisable to consult your doctor as this may be a symptom of an underlying condition like increasing blood pressure during pregnancy which has to be taken care of.
